The working paper Charitable Giving and Volunteering in Canada and the Atlantic Region: A Review of Secondary Data<\/a>\u00a0(Barrett & Gibson) was released in June 2013. By using data from Statistics Canada from 2007-2010, \u00a0the report gives an overview of\u00a0charitable giving and volunteerism is presented for Canada and the Atlantic Region. It also\u00a0reviews the rates of charitable giving, type of charitable giving, characteristics of donors, and the principal recipients of donations, and makes note as to how Newfoundland and Labrador philanthropy and volunteering differs from the rest of Canada.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
